Hoover Parent Teacher Council (HPTC) - official site

The Mission Statement of the HPTC is as follows:

"The Hoover Parent Teacher Council is a concerned body of Parents, Educators, and Community Leaders committed to working together as a team to promote excellence in education for the benefit of our children and their future. The purpose of HPTC is to represent each Hoover school by providing an open forum to voice concerns, defining objectives, promoting communication, and providing creative solutions facing Hoover Schools."

Meeting Schedule

The HPTC meets the second Thursday of each month in the Technology Room at the Central Office Building on Metropolitan Way at 9:00 a.m.

The schedule for 2007-2008 is as follows:

November 8
January 10
February 14
March 13
April 10
May 8

Voting members of the HPTC are the PTO/PTA/PTSO representatives from each of Hoover's schools.  Attendance by non-voting members is welcome.  Each school is allotted 1 vote if a vote is taken.

Meetings are very informative as each area of responsibility at the Central Office reports to the HPTC on activities of the previous month and upcoming activities.
